We have rented vacation/winter homes in Palm Springs for the last 4 years – and across the country and world for decades. My parents (in their 80s) stay for the whole time and other family comes and goes throughout the time. This house is fabulous in every way, with absolutely nothing negative to add. The location is perfect – with amazing mountain views! It is in a great neighborhood and a quick walk to town to access all the wonderful shops and restaurants. We frequented Melvyns just at the end of the street for live music, a great bar, and perfect palm springs dining ambiance. There is also a perfect 2-3 mile hike at the end of the street. The home is so close to town and activities, yet feels private and secluded when inside or in the backyard. The house is clean, modern, and beautiful inside. It is full of the best furniture and accessories – a perfect combination of beauty and comfort. I am not afraid to share that I have since purchased the same living room throws, bedroom rug, signed print, and wine opener! The house has everything you need and more. Highlights include an incredibly large and comfy sofas – inside and out (for the whole family!); sliding glass doors that open the whole length of the pool allowing for true indoor/outdoor living; the best towels(!), perfectly functioning hot-tub and pool with a variety of seating around; high end beds and bedding; easy to use and beautiful indoor and outdoor gas fireplace/pit; built in speakers throughout the entire home; and the largest kitchen island I have ever seen – for all to gather around. Everyone who visited or stayed was in awe of the beauty and comfort. I have already inquired about renting this home again. We know Palm Springs very well and I don’t know of another better location or house!

Absolutely Stunning Retreat!

Our stay in Palm Springs was nothing short of exceptional due to our stay at Rising Sun! The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking view of the mountains and the indoor/ outdoor living. The house itself is spacious and beautifully appointed, with every detail carefully considered to ensure design, comfort and convenience. The team at DLE were an absolute delight to work with, making the booking process smooth and effortless. Their hospitality truly enhanced the overall experience. We highly recommend this house to anyone seeking a serene getaway with unparalleled views, top-notch accommodations and in walking distance to town. It’s a truly unforgettable experience that we can’t wait to repeat!

Rising Sun turned out to be even better than we’d hoped—exceeding our expectations on every level. Our group had a lot of golfers in it and so being as close as we were to (excellent and accessible) public golf courses was a huge plus. And of course, having a putting green on the property was just awesome! We all loved everything about the house. Incredibly nice neighborhood and easy access to downtown. A+ exterior spaces—pool, hot tub and seating/sun chaises were ideal and the views were outstanding. Roomy spaces, really great open floor plan/layout. Plenty of areas to gather comfortably or to have some privacy when wanted. The interior design was not only luxe and attractive but also very comfortable. Immaculately clean which was especially important to our group. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. It was just the right kind of house for an extended stay— not at all designed “like a rental” and as a result, we felt completely at home. It even had a big garage and tons of storage – though we didn’t really need either. This was our 3rd time doing a VRBO/AIRB&B nearby and no doubt, this is the very best of what Palm Springs has to offer. Highly recommend!!

The Perfect Home Away From Home

My family and I had the absolute best vacation experience at Rising Sun. Once we booked, the hosts were determined to make it a wonderful stay from start to finish—they answered all of our questions, were responsive and kind and even gave us great guidance about family friendly activities nearby. The house is newly decorated, really spacious and absolutely spotless. Really luxurious and comfortable furnishings, tvs in every room. Loved the en suite baths and especially the privacy of the casita. Incredibly well stocked kitchen—they really thought of everything here! The house is situated in a quiet, safe and private neighborhood and also super easily accessible to downtown which was a huge perk for us. The pool and hot tub – and all of the outdoor seating and lounging areas- were over the top amazing and we spent a huge part of our time outside as a result! And the views were just gorgeous: mountains and palm trees just the perfect combination. And, have to mention that my husband was so excited to have a putting green to practice on and of course, the kids loved playing as well. Already missing those blue sky days in Palm Springs and can’t wait to return!

Incredible!

Rising Sun was incredible. It was the ideal place for our group (4 couples) to explore Palm Springs. We loved how close we were to town, we walked to and from dinner every night, and we were right near the best hiking trails (highly recommend the North Lykken trail, which leaves from the end of the street)! The house was perfectly set up for the 8 of us. Tons of space to spread out, watch movies all together (crazy comfortable couch), and cook all together. There is also a huge outdoor sectional around a fire table, with a circular cutout overhead that is perfect for watching the stars. We sat out there for hours each night. The pool and hot tub area is just beautiful—plenty of shade and plenty of sun and the views are stunning! The couple who stayed in the casita loved the privacy and pool access. Plus the putting green was so fun. Inside, the furnishings were super high-end, not at all what you typically expect with a rental property—and the owners clearly went to a lot of effort to make it both attractive and comfortable/livable. All the light switches even had labels so you knew which was which!! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for the week and having an office set up with a desk was great for those of us who had to remote work. Can't wait to go back.

A jewel in the desert

The House of the Rising Sun does not disappoint! The moment we walked into the front courtyard, we were delighted by the soothing sounds of a water feature that beckoned us through the cheerful, yellow door. The house is immediately welcoming, well appointed with a large open living area and kitchen. All of the appliances are new and we enjoyed cooking and having lunch at the outdoor table by the pool. The kitchen was large enough so that all seven of us had plenty of space to maneuver. What really makes this house special is the stunning mountain backdrop. No matter where you sit in the backyard, you have the spectacular view of the mountain. We spent a good amount of time reading books on the super comfortable and perfectly shaded outdoor sectional couch. It was wonderful to keep the "wall" of sliding glass doors open to enjoy the air. It was almost hard to motivate ourselves to leave the property. However, the hiking trailhead is a few minutes walk from the house so there was no excuse not to put on our boots and head out the door. Each bedroom was nicer than the last and we appreciated the feeling of privacy created by the layout of the house. The separate casita is another added attraction to the house. It is as beautiful and peaceful as you can imagine. We loved how close we were to town, walking in for dinner at night was a real treat. We really can't say enough about this house and we look forward to booking it again next year.

Stunning Modern Home + Idyllic Purple Mountain View

Wow! Our stay at this stunning Palm Springs was an absolute delight! Tucked away in the historic tennis district, this home offers the perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. Being within walking distance to town and the North Lykken trail made exploring effortless. The kitchen, a haven for culinary enthusiasts, was equipped with every conceivable accessory - we mostly prepared poolside drinks but there’s everything you need for memorable family dinners. The enormous kitchen island was a centerpiece, inviting us to gather and create unforgettable moments. The expansive wall of glass facing the pool and mountains was simply breathtaking. Each bedroom was a work of art that we had a hard time deciding which one to use! The impeccable house design and mesmerizing landscaping made us feel like we'd stepped into a Slim Aarons photoshoot – every corner was a perfect frame. Moreover, the curated art on the walls and the abundance of captivating coffee table books added a touch of inspiration, resonating perfectly with the Palm Springs vibe. If you're seeking a luxurious retreat that embodies the essence of Palm Springs living, this house is an absolute masterpiece. Our stay was beyond memorable, and we can't wait to return for another slice of paradise!
