PGA West is the center of gravity. Six courses, several gated communities inside the wider development, and villas that back directly onto fairways — the Nicklaus Tournament, the Greg Norman, the Weiskopf. If you are here to play, you can walk from the house to the tee. The American Express tournament is held here in January.
Indio is where the festivals are. The Empire Polo Grounds host Coachella and Stagecoach in April, and the houses nearest them book out further ahead than anything else in the valley, at rates that reflect it. Some of our largest estates are here — walled acreage with room for a group that would not fit anywhere else.
It is the quieter end of the valley day to day. Old Town La Quinta has the restaurants, the mountains are closer than they look, and you are about half an hour from Palm Springs when you want the noise.

Yes — PGA West is the single best represented neighborhood in our whole book. Several villas sit directly on the Nicklaus Tournament, Greg Norman or Weiskopf courses.
Several are within a few miles of the Empire Polo Grounds, and one sits directly across from the festival grounds. Festival weekends carry minimum stays and book many months ahead.
$395 to $7,500 a night depending on the house and the season. Festival and tournament weekends are priced separately from the normal seasonal rates.
The largest here sleeps 22. Several estates sit on walled acreage with casitas, so a group can spread out rather than share one roof.
